Caitlyn + Kyle || Maternity

If you take a look at one of my very firsts blog posts, you'll recognize this sweet couple! I shot their engagement session this summer and also had the honor of shooting this new season in their lives. Pregnancy!!

Caitlyn is so cute with a baby bump. And also, I LOVE returning couples!!! I'm forever grateful of these two for trusting in my work and letting me act like a crazy person during their shoot.... I'll explain....

There was a little miscommunication as far as locations went so as soon as I showed up I panicked. Like big time. It was a botanical garden in Baton Rouge that was totally DEAD. We just laughed it off and I did my absolute best to give them a gallery that they loved but was still my style!! I ended up really really loving a lot of these images. I am so happy for Caitlyn and Kyle as they added their BEAUTIFUL baby girl, Charley Jean to their family on January 11th. I can't wait to meet her!!!! A Few Summer Heirloom Sessions

I love to blog!

To some, blogging seems silly, to others it can be informative, but to me, it allows me the opportunity to jot down my thoughts with you all...about all things photography and about my business but most importantly all things about my sweet clients!! That includes those that pose for their portraits and of course their families.

I travel and go into the homes of so many amazing people. Your home is sacred. Its your safe space. And the fact that you all let me in is so special, so rewarding and such an honor! This business of mine has brought me the greatest friends and so many wonderful experiences that I'm forever grateful for. With that being said, I hope you enjoy seeing the faces of these sweet tiny people!

The Bullock Family

Twins!! If you've ever read any of my other blogs you'll know that I absolutely love photographing twins. It is the sweetest thing watching how different they are from each other but also their amazing bond. How handsome are they?!

These boys, Charles and William, were so intrigued by my camera. It was the cutest.

I think it's just as important to share behind the scenes as much as the finished product to show what goes into creating the perfect portrait.

Sweet Greyson is definitely a loved little boy!! His session was so fun and full of lots of laughs. And we had lots of help, too!

Houston + Dallas || Heirloom

I had THE best time traveling to Houston at the beginning go March to take portraits of 27 children!!! Not only did I enjoy photographing all the sweet littles but meeting their mamas (and some dads.) Every one of my clients are always SO good to me and I do not deserve it!!!

My sister, Kathleen, always comes along with me on my work trips to help out and it is sooooo much appreciated! This trip was a little different because normally I visit each home to take portraits but since it was a rescheduled trip (ice storm happened) I had to squeeze in lots of clients in only TWO days!!! I decided it was best to have all of my clients come to my hotel and it went so smoothly!! Such a great decision. I was also 29 weeks pregnant at the time so I was moving kinda slow. :) Enough talk.. here are the best of the best from our lovely Houston/Dallas trip!!!

Pierce is only a few months old. Sometimes this age can be challenging for me but I am so so happy we made it work!! He was the happiest.

This sweet boy's mama is from Louisiana and we knew a few mutual people so I really enjoyed visiting with them!!

Now we wrap up my Houston clients and move onto Dallas! Once Kathleen and I wrapped up our last clients at the St. Regis we packed up my equipment and headed to our hotel in Dallas. We were exhausted so once we finally got there we set up the equipment for the next day and went to sleep!!

I just can't even with sweet Audrey

Ok. Let me just say..... I LOVE that mom chose this outfit from my collection, It's so little boy classic and one of my favorites! How precious is baby Eric?! I also like his name, too. :)

I don't know about you but these are some of the most precious portraits I've EVER seen!!!! What a precious brother sister duo

Our second to last client of the day was beautiful! Her mama had just had a baby so I wasn't able to meet her but I did meet her mom and she was the SWEETEST.
